(More customer reviews)We have a glider made by another manufacturer that cost half the price of this one. I now know why. This chair has better cushions, a smoother "cleaner" motion, and just looks really pretty overall. We had to put a pillow on the other glider because the seat cushion was so very thin; this one almost feels like memory foam and is supportive even after sitting in it for over an hour (a huge plus when rocking a fussy baby). The gliding motion is seamless and feels very solid (the other glider almost had a shimmy to it). The chair came in 2 pieces (3, if you count the cushions). It simply took 4 screws using my own phillips head screwdriver and it was complete. This chair is also taller and wider than gliders I've seen at stores like Target & Toys-R-Us; a plus for us (5' 11" and 6' 4") but a consideration if you're shorter than that.
This chair does have a recline feature but it won't glide while reclined, and this is the only criticism I have if you can even consider that a negative. This chair was worth every penny.
