3D Nylon Kite: DC Sport 60 Review

We got both this kite and the next size smaller to start flying last fall. Probably the biggest issue we had was guaging the wind. What the novice flyer thinks is 5mph is really only 2-3mph, and that makes a huge difference in kites. Not that I suggest going out in a windstorm, however, wait for a breezy day before you start running your lines out. The sail is fairly forgiving, so in turn it takes more wind to fly than just a light breeze.
I haven't had a chance to get into tricks with it, but after flying on some mud flats, I'm pretty impressed with how the kite has held up. Its easy to put together and real similar in construction to the delta style kites. Just make sure to check the bridle knots after shipping, thats pretty standard. Also, if you'll be flying more than just a couple times, I definately recommend buying a set of real kite lines. 90lb/90ft is a good all-around set and you get to upgrade to some nifty straps instead of the winder handles.

Frameless Parafoil: Spectrum Review

Our kids and grandkids fuly enjoyed this great flyer. Me too! Assembly was simple The string has a snap that snaps onto a string loop on the kite. The tails are already connected. That's it!Just hold the kite in the brezze and let out the string. The airfoil immediately fills with air and quckly climbs as high as you'd like (or have string for). It comes with a small pouch so when you're finished playing just roll the kite up and squeeze it in the little pouch. The best kite I've ever had.

Skyfoil™ Frameless Parafoil Kite: Lazer by X-Kites Review

After having tried a multitude of kites already, some which I've reviewed and some which I haven't, I ended up on this particular kite after many wasted hours struggling to get continuous flight from kites in a more expensive bracket.
After opening the package and removing two rubber bands from the folded up streamer tail, I had this high in the air in less than thirty seconds. I was shocked at just how easy and simple this kite was to get going.
The kite also looks good in the air and as seeing kites in the air is more of an anomaly these days, several cars passing by all stopped to watch this thing whip around beautifully in the air.
The joy of flying a kite never ceases to amaze me and is a lot like meditation. If it's been awhile since you've flown one, I highly recommend this product.
The quality of the kite is sturdy, but I do recommend buying a 500 ft spool and maybe even a winder as the 120 feet of line that comes with it leaves you wanting to get it even higher. But 120 feet is enough for first time flyers.
