(More customer reviews)We are really impressed with this chair. Looks good and feels good to set in. Can't find a chair like it in the local furniture stores. Chair pad is very comfortable. The pad goes over the sides of the chair arms so arms and hands are not resting on hard wood. Chair is works really well for rocking or nursing new baby.
As other users mentioned, the directions for the arms are reversed, but because we read other users reviews we were able to assemble chair with no problem. The locking feature is great for kids, but we have found that it locks up on its own if a heavier person (250+ pounds) is rocking in the chair.

Shermag Cherry w/ Wheat Glider/Ottoman Review

(More customer reviews)After much research and the advice of BabyBargains, we decided to go with a Shermag but this lower end version. However it is great. It took my husband about 20-30 minutes to put it together. It looks great and matches our nursery furniture perfectly. I wanted a higher back to rest my head while feeding the baby. This chair is perfect. I am 5'7 and my husband is 6'. He fits very comfortable. I wish the cushions came in differnt colors as I think this will be hard to keep clean with a baby, but I just covered it with a pretty blanket that will hopefully catch any spills. I think it make a great addition to a nursery. We have have ahad it for a few weeks, but our Baby is due in Feb. So far so good.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this chair in May 2010 right before my son was born. I bought it because it seemed like such a good price and it was the same color and brand as my changing table. Well first off we had a hard time putting it together because a couple of the assembly holes were drilled wrong and didn't match up. Luckily my husband is a handy guy and just drilled new holes to make it work. My biggest complaint is it squeaks! I have to oil it at least once a week. Of course it always starts squeaking when I am nursing and rocking my baby to sleep. I wish I would have spent more money for a better quality chair.

(More customer reviews)This glider was easy to assemble, it took me about 35 mins to put it together by myself at 33 weeks pregnant. It is very comfortable and sturdy. The dark wood color and green chenille fabric look great. It goes perfectly with our dark espresso nursery furniture. It is very comfortable to sit in and I love that it came with the ottoman. Overall this is a great product at an affordable price. We are very pleased with our purchase!

All in all the chair was easy to put together and didn't take up a lot of room. It glides quietly and is a great help when I have to put my son to sleep.

(More customer reviews)Very nice glider, especially for the price. My husband put it together in about half an hour, and it is very comfortable. The cushions are a bit firm, but not hard. I love it! I am 5'8" and fit in it just fine, and my husband who is 6'3" can sit in it but it's a little tight. Also the microfiber fabric is very easy to clean. I have gotten a few spots on it and it cleans up with just water, so the light color is not a problem at all. In fact for milk stains it is probably better than a darker color. Great deal--we are very happy with the chair and ottoman.

(More customer reviews)This glider is terrific for breastfeeding and chilling out with the baby. It's very smooth, comfortable, and looks decent, too. I would recommend shelling out for this more expensive and plumper-cushioned one, since you need all the cushioning you can get after birth and in the high-repetition on-demand breastfeeding schedule. One word of warning: the company ships these things in the cheapest, flimsiest box EVER and they can get damaged, so inspect CAREFULLY (the damage will probably be evident from both outside and inside the box, if you know what I mean) and snap photos and contact customer service to get replacement parts/pieces. Unfortunately, our ottoman was badly cracked in transit and the glider was dinged and a plastic piece that locks the unit was broken. We asked for a replacement for the ottoman but just for the broken part for the glider. It came without too much delay, but what a hassle. If it was all broken you'd have to ship it back...what a huge huge pain. But I do really really like this rocker (in cherry).

(More customer reviews)Day one-So far this glider ottoman is a great buy. It arrived in a large box. The box contained the padding, two very small packages of screws and hex wrenches, and two wooden rocker bases. The directions are straight forward and simple to use. Consisting of three pages with 6 steps. I assembled it in around ten minutes and it feels great. The wooden pieces came protected with foam padding and bubble wrap. The packaging and all materials were very clean. I found a few nicks on one corner, but it isn't visible unless closely inspected. My wife is very comfortable in this chair. It has plenty of room for breastfeeding. I will update this. So far, five stars!
UPDATE- The chair is a great chair for the price. It has plenty of room for breastfeeding. The chair has held up great to the kids climbing on it, extensive use, etc. It doesn't squeak or make any sounds after heavy use. The chair itself is very comfortable with extended use, EXCEPT the padded seat.
The cushion isn't the greatest. I had to replace the cushion the week of heavy use. It was no problem switching it out. You need to untie the strings that tie it to the back of the chair. After having to replace the cushion and spend another $25, I lowered my rating one star. I would still highly recommend this chair for the great quality and cheap price.
I will update if anything changes.
