(More customer reviews)I was surprised to see a chair of that size come in the container it was delivered in, which at first gave me reservations. However, when it was taken out, I was relieved. Even though the instruction of putting the chair together was simple enough, lining up the chair to the base was a challenge. Overall, once the chair was completed, sitting in it was divine and comfy. The seat is wide enough to accommodate fuller hips, and comfortable enough for a tall person to enjoy. I find it was an excellent purchase for the money and I'm thinking about purchasing another.

(More customer reviews)Although this product was relatively easy to assemble, and the overall design is aesthetically pleasing and was received in good condition and rapid fashion; there remains the invariable fact that the design of this chair is flawed beyond repair.
Within 2 days of using the the chair it developed a rather noisy squeak. It is to be expected that a wood product will give off some noise due to variances in temperature and humidity etc, however on the third day, the arms separated from the back with a loud crack.
The arms are joined to the back via two dowel rods and glue. The one point in the design where all the downward and backward stresses of the sitter/rocker are focused, is held together by wood and glue... throughout the rest of the chair a series of brass alloy screws and lock nuts are used which is fine if not overkill. The one point where screws and lock-nuts would do the most good, they are lacking.
As there are two dowel rods which support the focal point of stress on such a small supporting beam, it is impossible to replace the dowels with screws as the pre-drilled holes have already compromised the integrity of the beam.
Nice looking? yes. Quality? no. Firewood? not unless you like clouds of toxic fumes from the lacquer.

The lounge chair adjustment to change the chair's rest angle is manual - there is a wheel under the chair that you must turn to loosen up the locking device for the chair's position. Once you loosen & adjust the chair angle for comfort, then you tighten the wheel back to lock in your chair's position. I purchased 1 & liked it so much that I purchased another.

HI FIRST RECCOMENDATION WAS TO PLACE A PIECE OF TAPE ON THE TEAR. DO YOU BELIEVE THAT? I HAD THE OPTION OF RETURNING IT AT MY EXPENSE FROM FLORIDA TO NEW YORK AT APPROXIMATELY $40.00. WE FINALLY SETTLED ON A $45.00 CREDIT WHICH I STILL FEEL IS WRONG AS WE NOT ONLY HAVE THE MOST UNCOMFORTABLE EVER MADE BUT THERE IS ALSO A TEAR IN THE LEATHER. I WOULD NEVER DEAL WITH THIS SELLER AGAIN.

(More customer reviews)When I got the chair I was a little skeptical when the frame came out of the box looking much like one of those outdoor chairs with the metal beams running through it, but surprisingly when it came together it was quite comfortable. The padding really makes the chair. Glides well and seems to handle my 240lb weight fine.
Just fyi the on the back the chair comes about halfway up the back of my head and the leatherette material seems kind of thin, so if you want genuine leather or vinyl you may not be happy with this particular chair. Also when it is in the full upright position it seems to make you feel like you're sitting slightly too far forward.
Also when it reclines, think of how a computer chair reclines as to how far back it goes. Not really that far, but with the ottoman is quite comfy.
I also noticed some comparible chairs people complain about the welds. This particular one is welded quite securely all the way around and doesn't have any bad welds.

It's very comfortable and plush feeling, easy to keep clean and the Pleather is tough enough not to be ripped by doggie claws. And the ottoman is great fun for letting your dog "surf" on.
My husband can't wait for this to come out of the baby's room and become his chair, as it has the higher back and gives great head and neck support. Chair springs did start to squeak a bit but only when fatties like me and my mom rock in it. WD40 quick spray did the trick.
