(More customer reviews)My 4-year-old was introduced to the "Spider-man" films earlier this year and was instantly smitten with the sinister Green Goblin. My mission for Christmas was clear: he had to have a Goblin.
On the one hand, the toy is fine -- it looks just like the character in the movie, and was hands down my son's favorite Christmas present. At the same time, it can be a source of constant frustration. The glider falls apart nearly every time he touches it, and from what I've read, this is a common complaint about this toy. Bottom line: the Goblin is a cool addition for your little web-slinger's collection, but expect a few headaches.

Estes Viper RC Airplane with Motion Sensing Control Review

(More customer reviews)As a very amateur RC plane enthusiast, I have tried (and crashed) several different airplanes from Air Hogs, Estes, and others. This is the only plane that I was completely unable to get into the air before it self-destructed. As another review states, the controller seems to lose touch with the plane. The "motion" controller is not really motion sensitive--it is only "on/off" for direction, which makes it very difficult even for an adult to try to fly, much less give it to a child. The plane always took a nose dive to the left as soon as it got airborne, no matter which direction the control was in. After an hour or so and many crashes later, it finally hit the ground with the wing and broke it off at the motor--completely unrepairable. We have an Air Hogs Jet Scream plane that I finally got comfortable with, and it is MUCH more durable and more fun that this Viper. No matter how many crashes with the Jet Scream, it has virtually no damage because it is so lightweight. Do yourself a favor and do not buy this plane, unless you really want to torture a 10 year-old and his dad.

This pump comes apart without warning, presumabley so you can relubricate it, but of course it requires cleaning everytime you pull it out and drop it in the grass. The fire trigger only works when tilted at the proper angle (between 60 and 75 degrees, and is too hard for either my 7 or 10 year old to push.

Radio Flyer Scoot 'N Zoom Review

(More customer reviews)I couldn't afford the more expensive ride on cars, coupes, etc. so I decided to give this one a try because of the price. My two year old LOVES it. He zooms all over the house on it and is the most played on toy. My 6 year old enjoys it and of course fights over it. I may have to invest in another one which is still cheaper for both than one of the other ride on cars/coupes. I have hard wood floors,tiles and carpet and they zoom freely over all surfaces. This toy is very durable and sustained a toss down the stairs by my 6yr old(whew). Best value toy we own.

X-Stream 5" Twin Pack Review

(More customer reviews)They fly, but they aren't like the slow balsa-wood gliders. They are more like projectiles. If you toss them by hand, you really need to get them going before they will fly nicely. Same thing with the rubber band launcher. If you don't give them enough oomph they will sort of tumble instead. That said, when you get them going, they go far. I think sometimes they fly more upside-down than right side up, but they still go. Took a little bit of instruction for our 4 year old to figure out how to use the launcher, but now that he has the hang of it he'll launch them across 2 rooms of the house, so we probably need to take them outside now. They were a little bit smaller than I imagined, but it does say 5" in the description. They seem pretty durable, but I don't think they'll last forever. They should last a lot longer than balsa wood.

So was he as we tried to put these very paper-thin foam planes together. I was very careful but only half made it thru assembly; most were broken just handling them. There is a very disappointed five year old here now. The planes would not fly, were flimsy and of little use to anyone. Please do not think of ordering this item. I would have gotten more pleasure if I had set fire to and watched the money burn that we spent on it.

(More customer reviews)We're using the 12 inch version. The wheel wobbles a bit and had to be both screwed into the cage wall AND needed the stand underneath to keep it reasonable stable.. And it still wobbles. There's nothing "whisper quiet" about it, its pretty loud, not as bad as metal wheels, but pretty close. It's also very difficult to detach for cleaning. The only good thing about it is how much my little hedgie loves it.. All night long, on that loud wheel.

Unfortunately about a week later, one of the ledges splintered and the screw came sliding out. I would highly recommend these to any chinchilla owner, but you might have to reinforce the screws yourself.
